Kuala Lumpur, seen across the Merdaka (Independence) Square

Kuala Lumpur is a mish-mosh of eastern and western architectural styles, executed first by the British and more recently by the country's aggressive growth government and business leadership. The British style borrowed heavily from India, more recent design is influenced heavily by Islamic traditions.
